INTERNATIONALIZATION

Internationalization has been a process of increasing investment and importance in COMUNG universities. The institutions have sought to expand international relations as a way of qualifying their community mission and creating social impact and State development in the regions where they operate.

The Universities participating in the COMUNG Internationalization WG have more than 1000 active and consolidated Cooperation Agreements with more than 60 countries on all continents. One of the prerequisites for creating partnerships has been reciprocity in cooperation and the possibility of mutual development in the fields of education, research, extension and innovation.

Among the main actions developed are:

  • semester student mobility;
  • short-term mobility;
  • international teacher mobility;
  • offering short-term programs;
  • dual degree training;
  • international technical and academic trips;
  • qualifying trips in foreign languages;
  • research projects in international collaboration.

Exchanges seek to build intercultural and global skills and competences through the training of new professionals with a worldview. In addition, these internationalization activities aim to insert the international dimension in the curriculum construction, to create research contact networks in the development of innovations, solutions and new products that improve society’s quality of life.
