The Consortium of Community Universities in Rio Grande do Sul (COMUNG) announces the call for applications for the International Exchange Program in Toronto, Canada. This is an exclusive opportunity for Medical students from COMUNG member institutions to experience hospital practice in Canada and improve their English communication skills, especially in the healthcare field.
The Program
The goal of this program is to provide Medical students with a high-level technical and cultural immersion experience in Toronto, one of the most multicultural cities in the world. The exchange program combines:
- Healthcare Communication: Intensive course focused on technical terminology (anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology) to ensure effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals in international environments.
- Practical Experience: Participation in an Observership program at a hospital in Toronto.
- Institutional Immersion: Complementary activities including technical visits and lectures with healthcare organizations and specialists in Canada.
Who Can Apply?
This opportunity is exclusive to students who meet the following criteria:
- Be regularly enrolled in the Medical program at one of the participating COMUNG member institutions.
- Be at least 18 years old and have no legal or administrative restrictions.
- Have an intermediate level of English proficiency (according to the proficiency requirements detailed in the official call).
- Hold a valid passport with at least six months of validity after the return date.
